What, Who, & Why is Naruto so popular?
The Famous Japanese anime started back in October 2002 and has been voted recently as the 10th most popular anime series in Japan. The popularity of this anime has reached amazing records and reminds us of the "DragonBall" series.
Originally the anime started off as a manga or comic in Japanese. The story is about a young boy Naruto Uzumaki, who's dream & quest is to be the best Ninja in the village and to be respected.
He has what is called the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox inside of him. 12 years prior to the show starting, the story was that the Demon Fox destroyed and killed many people in the ninja village of Konohagakure.
One of the leaders of the village sacrificed himself to seal the Demon Fox inside a newborn. That newborn is Naruto Uzumaki. Because of Naruto's history, many of the villagers and children included do not like Naruto.
Ironically Naruto did not knew he had the Demon Fox inside of him until he exerted by accident his supernatural powers using the forbidden scrolls.
The anime is about Naruto and his friends' personal adventure and growth as they strive to be the most powerful ninja or "Hokage" of Konohagakure.
